About Richland, MI - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The Village of Richland, Michigan was founded in 1830 in Kalamazoo County. As of 2010, about 750 people resided here, and the village is a short mile drive northeast of Kalamazoo. Primarily a bedroom community, Richland is home to good schools to support the education of young residents, and students will complete their secondary education at Gull Lake High School.

While Richland is a small community, there are a few noteworthy destinations here. Visitors and residents in need of a new look may like to visit Agape Family Hair Salon, Evolve Salon & Spa, or Cabellos Salon. The Little Yellow Frame Shop and Gallery, Village Antiques, Eileen’s English Toffee, and Silver Moon Art Gallery are the most popular retail destinations in the village. There are also several restaurants found here, including East Egg, Liz’s Parkview Café, Kitchen House, and Kare’s Village Diner.

The weather in Richland offers varied conditions that change from season to season. Summer weather is one of the most popular seasons, especially for residents who like to get outside and spend time in the sun. High temperatures average at about 80 degrees Fahrenheit, which may feel comfortable to some residents. For others, these thermostat readings and high humidity levels are quite uncomfortable, especially for those who suffer from asthma and other breathing conditions. Central air conditioning can provide a safe place to beat the heat, and the right system can also improve indoor air quality to help with respiratory issues.

Contrasting weather conditions move into the area during the winter months, as temperatures will fall steadily throughout the autumn season. Winter weather is cold and snowy, and when these two conditions combine, travel outdoors can become hazardous. To stay safe, many residents remain indoors and take advantage of their reliable furnace systems. Both natural gas and electricity-powered units are available to keep residents comfortable throughout the season.
