About Climax, MI - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Climax, Michigan is a village found in Kalamazoo County. About 770 people called the community home in 2010, and due to this small size, the village shares a school district with the neighboring community of Scotts. Originally settled in 1825, Climax is conveniently located about 12 miles west of Battle Creek and 16 miles east of Kalamazoo.

The small community of Climax is home to few attractions and businesses. Bowman’s BBQ and Meat Market is found here, and convenience items are available at the Village Take Out Store. Cold Brook County Park has one of the best disc golf courses in the region, and it also offers a campground and small beach along the lake. Larger attractions can be enjoyed in nearby Battle Creek, including the Binder Park Zoo and Kingman Museum.

Residents of Climax know that the weather can change quickly and drastically. This is especially true during the autumn season, as temperatures will cool off considerably as the weeks pass. By winter, daytime highs only reach about 32 degrees Fahrenheit, and snow and ice are common throughout the season. Driving conditions are hazardous outdoors, and without the right precautions at home, pipes could freeze. That’s why residents rely so heavily on their gas or electric furnace systems, and a unit with a high AFUE rating can also help homeowners save on their monthly heating costs.

Summertime weather in Climax is very different from cold, winter conditions. Residents will turn off their furnace system in favor of central air conditioning, as temperatures are very warm to hot. Average daily highs in July and August reach about 80 degrees Fahrenheit, but muggy air and high humidity can make it feel even warmer. Central air conditioning is a great option for cooling off a space, as these systems are quiet, energy efficient, and compatible with existing furnace systems.
