About Hastings, MI - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Hastings, Michigan is the county seat of Barry County. As of 2010, 7,350 people called the city home. Hastings was originally founded in 1836, and it is part of the Grand Rapids-Wyoming Metro Area. The Hastings School District serves the community and maintains four elementary schools, a middle school, and Hastings High School. A regional campus of Kellogg Community College also calls Hastings home, providing higher education opportunities for locals. The community is also the site of the new Hastings Public Library, which opened in June 2007.

There are several interesting places to visit in Hastings. The Historic Charlton Park has been a fixture in the county since 1936, and it is situated on 300 acres of outdoor space. Not only can visitors enjoy hiking, fishing, and boating, but there is also a turn-of-the-century Historic Village and Museum on the premises. Visitors may like to rent a boat at U Rent Em Canoe Livery or play a round of golf at Gun Ridge Golf Course. There is also a large wooden playground available for children at Bob King Park.

Hastings residents experience a variety of weather conditions throughout the year, including a cold, snowy winter. Temperatures drop into the 20s and 30s, and snowfall totals exceed 50 inches during the average year. Hastings homeowners have knowledge of these harsh conditions and understand the importance of a properly designed and installed furnace system, both in terms of overall comfort and energy costs.

Just like a furnace system, central air conditioning will rely on a series of ducts to distribute climate-controlled air. For that reason, many Hastings residents invest in central air conditioning to stay cool during the humid and very warm summer season. When high temperatures jump into the 80s during July and August, residents are often thankful to have a reliable home cooling system in place.
