About Vicksburg, MI - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Vicksburg, Michigan is a village located in Kalamazoo County. As of 2010, nearly 3,000 people resided here. The village was incorporated in 1871, although settlers originally moved into the area about 40 years prior. Vicksburg is located about 15 miles south of Kalamazoo, and it is the proud home of beautiful Sunset Lake near the center of the village.

There are many wonderful things to see and do in Vicksburg. Golf enthusiasts may like to play a round at Angels Crossing Golf Club or States Golf Club, while residents who prefer “discing” might like to check out the Vicksburg Disc Golf Course. There are many delicious restaurants in the community, including Village Hideaway, Vickers Lakeside Tavern, Main St Pub, and Rise N Dine. Additionally, the Vicksburg Cultural Arts Center features many musical concerts, art exhibits, and classes throughout the year to provide creative experiences to locals.

The four seasons in Vicksburg offer diverse weather patterns, including a cold and snowy winter. Temperatures fall, and average daily highs only reach about 33 degrees Fahrenheit in January. To stay safe throughout the season, residents should invest in a reliable gas or electric furnace. Additionally, annual furnace tune-ups will help to ensure proper air flow, improve energy efficiency, and reduce the need for repairs during the cold winter season.

Summer weather is markedly different from wintertime conditions. Temperatures rise throughout the spring season and lead to average highs of about 80 degrees Fahrenheit in July and August. The air is muggy, and humidity levels are high. Central air conditioning is the preferred way to keep interior conditions cool throughout the season, and these systems help to improve indoor air quality by filtering out dust and allergens. A central air conditioner with a high SEER rating will also help homeowners to keep utility costs under control, as these are the most energy efficient systems available.
