About East Leroy, MI - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

East Leroy, Michigan is a tiny, unincorporated community located in Calhoun County. The first resident to the area traveled here in 1836, and the name Leroy was awarded in honor of his first son. East Leroy is found about 20 miles east of Kalamazoo and 20 miles southwest of Marshall. There is one elementary school located here – East Leroy Elementary – and older students will complete their education at the Athens Jr/Sr High School.

East Leroy isn’t home to any major attractions, but there are a few businesses found here. Faulk’s C Store offers convenience staples, and fresh produce can be picked up at Voyce’s Fruit and Veggie Stand. The K Drive Greenhouse offers beautiful plants and flowers during the spring and summer months, and local houses of worship include God’s House Full Gospel Holiness Church and East Leroy Community Church.

Weather conditions in East Leroy fluctuate with the seasons, as is typical for a humid continental climate zone. The spring season is rainy, but temperatures warm up gradually until the start of summer. July and August are the hottest months of the year, and temperatures are very warm. While thermostat readings may reach the low-80s, muggy air can make it feel even warmer. Many East Leroy residents have upgraded their window air conditioning units to central air systems, as these setups are better able to cool an entire space. Thermostats and variable speed blowers can also lead to energy efficiency and lower cooling costs throughout the season.

During the winter months, residents will rely heavily on their furnace or boiler system to stay safe at home. Temperatures plummet into the 30s or lower, and snowy conditions can make conditions hazardous both indoors and outdoors. Without the right climate controls in place, pipes and other expensive home plumbing systems could experience freeze-related damage.
