About Delton, MI - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Delton, Michigan is a small, census-designated place in Barry County, Michigan. As of 2010, about 875 people resided in this community, which is found in the southwestern region of the state. State highway M-43 traverses through the town center, and it leads 14 miles northeast to Hastings and 19 miles southwest to downtown Kalamazoo. Despite its small size, the community is home to three schools – Delton Kellogg Elementary, Middle, and High Schools.

While there aren’t any major attractions in Delton, local businesses can be found here. There are several small retail stores in the community, including Ken’s Sport Shop, Family Fare Supermarkets, and Delton Pharmacy. Local restaurants like Grove Street Café, Tujax Tavern, and Sajo’s Pizza are also found here. Larger attractions are located in nearby communities, including the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners and the Barn Theatre in Augusta. Outdoor recreation is also popular in the region, as there are over ten lakes in Delton alone.

Weather conditions in Delton change with the season. Summers here are good for outdoor activities, as they are very warm. However, high humidity levels can lead to muggy, uncomfortable air, and most residents will want to cool off at a home with central air conditioning. Likewise, a well-insulated home can trap pollution indoors, but the right central air conditioning system may also provide filtration to improve the quality of circulating air.

Residents may venture outdoors more frequently when temperatures cool off in the autumn season, but frigid conditions are common during the winter. During the average year, the region receives about 50 inches of snowfall. Freezing temperatures can be even more dangerous, especially without the right home heating system in place. Delton HVAC specialists can help homeowners to choose the right gas or electric furnace, and dual systems might also be a wise investment.
