About Union City, MI - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in portions of Branch and Calhoun Counties, Union City is conveniently found within the Battle Creek Metro Statistical Area. Approximately 1,600 people called the village home as of 2010, and the area serves as a picturesque bedroom community for the larger Battle Creek and Coldwater areas. Before receiving the name of Union City, the village was called Goodwinville in honor of the community’s first settler. Later, the name Union City was adopted due to the city’s location at the union between the St. Joseph and Coldwater Rivers.

While Union City enjoys small-town appeal, there are still things to see and do within the community. There are many events held here throughout the year, including Farm to Fork, the Scarecrow Festival, and the annual Santa Parade. There are plenty of dining options available at Fabiano’s, Broadway Grille, The Daily Grind, or Five Star Pizza. Visitors and residents alike will also enjoy shopping for home goods at Longstreet Living and flowers at Center Stage Florist.

Union City weather is a mix of cold, snowy winters and warm summer days. The winter season is arguably the most extreme, featuring frigid temperatures and heavy snowfall, at times. The last thing that Union City residents want to deal with in the dead of winter is a broken furnace, so preventive maintenance during the milder autumn months is recommended. An experienced Union City HVAC technician can ensure that these systems are reliable and efficient.

Many residents like to get outside to enjoy the summer months, as temperatures are very warm. However, high humidity can make the air feel oppressive, especially when temperatures jump well into the 80s during July and August. It is important that residents have a place to cool off, and central air conditioning can provide a much needed reprieve from the summer heat.
